Agatha Christie - The Blue Geranium and Other Stories
Sir Henry Clithering, ex-Commissioner of Scotland Yard, is staying with his old friend Col. and Mrs. Bantry, who live near St. Mary Mead. And so it is decided to ask Miss Marple to dinner, and once again she proves that simply by observing human nature in the sleepy village of St. Mary Mead, she is easily able to unravel the mysteries put forward by the other diners. The four mysteries included in the recording are The Blue Geranium, The Four Suspects, The Companion and The Christmas Tragedy.

Even More True Stories - An Intermediate Reader
Intermediate. Imagine scuba diving near the Florida coast and suddenly getting sucked into a huge pump of a nuclear power plant! Or writing love letters to someone every day for a year, only to see that person marry the mail carrier? The universal appeal of these real-life human-interest stories engages beginning ESL students with humor, poignancy, or astonishment, and helps them to become fluent readers. New "challenge pages" at the end of each unit feature supplemental readings related to the main story, but written at a slightly higher level.

The Russian Revolution – four young people, Yury, Tonya, Lara and Pasha, find love and lose it in this extraordinary time. Their heart-breaking stories make Dr Zhivago one of the greatest romantic books, and films, of the century.
From out of the sky, from under the earth, from far out at sea - disaster comes. We build and invent new things - and sometimes bring disaster on ourselves. Today television and the Internet mean that we can watch disasters as they happen, and see their terrible results. From Pompeii to the Asian Tsunami, from the Great Fire of London to Chernobyl, the stories of disasters are frightening, but they have much to tell us. Disasters bring stories of fear, pain, loss, and death - but also of people whose extraordinary bravery and feeling for others will touch your heart.
