TEACHING SPEAKING ENGLISH IS EASY with Express Yourself. The book includes short 3-4 paragraph articles about different things. Each issue provides for a variety of topics for discussion by a various Opinion Samples. Dialogue over each issue associated with each student to learn a variety of colloquialisms are asked to. We first start with a textbook that led to conversations. We would read one article per class and discuss the article. There are discussion questions in the book you can follow to aid the flow of discussion.

English Idioms English Idioms, are part of The Teaching of English Series that started in 1940's and are always reprinted in regular intervals. "In the present volume, instead of attempting to divide the work into chapters treating of "colloquial phrases", "cant phrases", "slang phrases" and so forth, I have thrown the whole into alphabetical form, and have marked by letters the category to which, in my opinion, the phrases ought to belong. This classification may be studied or may be neglected as suits the convenience or the taste of the consulter."

From a ditty in Dutch sung in the streets to a funeral poem in Latin composed to be read for or by intimate friends, from a play performed for a prince to a comedy written for pupils literary texts and performances often dealt with highly controversial topics of religion or politics, on a local or national, but also on a supranational scale.
