Listening looks at what makes a good listener and how teachers can motivate learners to develop confidence and independence in listening. There are over 70 classroom activities, including raising learners' awareness of individual sounds and intonation patterns, exploiting published materials, radio, and television, "listening in real life," and listening projects. An appendix provides advice on making your own listening materials.
