The Experimental and Historical Foundations of Electricity
2

The Experimental and Historical Foundations of Electricity The Experimental and Historical Foundations of Electricity deals with the most fundamental aspects of physics. The book describes the main experiments and discoveries in the history of electricity. It begins with the amber effect, which is analogous to the usual experiment of attracting small pieces of paper with a piece of plastic rubbed in hair. The book explains how to build several instruments: versorium, electric pendulum, electroscope and charge collectors. Electric attraction and repulsion, positive and negative charges, and the ACR mechanism (attraction, communication of electricity, and repulsion) are discussed.

Epitomes of three sciencesThis little book, Epitomes of Three Sciences gives an account of the recent work done in three different fields of modern knowledge; viz., Comparative Philology, Experimental Psychology, and Old Testament History. These three sciences have an almost direct bearing upon the religious views of our time, in spite of their difference of subject and the divergence of their authors' standpoints. It intended to explain in a few words the relation in which Comparative Philology, Experimental Psychology, and Biblical History stand to one another. This book is PDF version of original  book of these authors: H. Oldenberg, J.Jastrow and C.H. Cornhill.
