Every generation has felt that they were unique in some way from their parent's generation. "In our day, we did things differently" has been voiced by every generation. The challenge today however, is that these generational differences in the workplace can create negative outcomes including confusion, resentment, anger and turnover if they are not identified and addressed Instead, we want to create a positive workplace environment where employees can work together productively and with respect. There are many ways to do that, and one of them includes an understanding of the different generations, their influence on the workplace and a respect for their contributions
