This book is part of a series of supplementary books on English speaking skills aimed at adults and young adults. Each book is divided into units designed to last for a lesson of approximately 50 minutes and includes a grid describing the skills, topic and language functions covered in each unit. The text consists of unit themes such as "jobs", "homes" and "money". The range of activities for group, pair and class work include interviews, questionnaires, role-play, ranking, discussion.
These cards support the retelling of a story and give instructional support for comprehension skills. Included on the back of the cards are strategies for various levels of language acquisition. Retelling Cards also provide concrete speaking and writing prompts for English Language Learners.
