ELEMENTARY STEPS TO UNDERSTANDINGELEMENTARY STEPS TO UNDERSTANDING

This new L.A. Hill series, Steps to Understanding, is a development from the highly successful approach used in Stories for Reproduction. The all new stories are accompanied by a variety of exercises, as before; but in this series, there is a greater emphasis on comprehension work. There are true/false questions, to be used as a quick check on understanding, as well as "thinking questions that require the student to work more creatively.

Dimensions of Forensic LinguisticsDimensions of Forensic Linguistics

This volume functions as a guide to the multidisciplinary nature of Forensic Linguistics understood in its broadest sense as the interface between language and the law. It seeks to address the links in this relatively young field between theory, method and data, without neglecting the need for new research questions in the field.

GRE General Test Practice Book. ETSGRE General Test Practice Book. ETS

The Verbal and Quantitative sections in the GRE General Test in this publication contain questions written and administered prior to 1995. For this reason, some of the material covered in the questions may be dated. For example, a question may refer to a rapidly changing technology in a way that was correct in the 1980s and early 1990s, but not now. In addition, ETS® has revised and updated its standards and guidelines for test questions so some questions may not meet current standards.
Questions that do not meet current ETS standards, and would not appear in GRE tests administered today, are marked with an asterisk (see pages 35 and 44).
