The author's objective was to provide participants of the Algebraic K-theory Summer School an overview of various aspects of algebraic K-theory, with the intention of making these lectures accessible to participants with little or no prior knowledge of the subject.
Paris-Princeton Lectures on Mathematical Finance 2010
The Paris-Princeton Lectures in Financial Mathematics, of which this is the fourth volume, publish cutting-edge research in self-contained, expository articles from outstanding specialists - established or on the rise! The aim is to produce a series of articles that can serve as an introductory reference source for research in the field. The articles are the result of frequent exchanges between the finance and financial mathematics groups in Paris and Princeton.
The object of this book is to introduce the reader to some of the most important techniques of modern global geometry. In writing it we had in mind the beginning graduate student willing to specialize in this very challenging field of mathematics. The necessary prerequisite is a good knowledge of the calculus with several variables, linear algebra and some elementary point-set topology.
Lectures on Logic (The Cambridge Edition of the Works of Immanuel Kant in Translation)
Kant's views on logic and logical theory play an important part in his critical writings, especially in the Critique of Pure Reason. This volume includes three previously untranslated transcripts of Kant's logic lectures: the Blomberg Logic (1770s); the Vienna Logic supplemented by the recently discovered Hechsel Logic (1780s); and the Dohna-Wundlacken Logic (1790s). Also included is a new translation of the Jäsche Logic, compiled at Kant's request from his lectures and published in 1800.
