Thomas Crane was the Art Director for Marcus Ward & Co., and was the elder brother of illustrator/ artist Walter Crane; Houghton was their cousin. Poems about a family of Victorian children on their first trip abroad, a visit to Northern France and Paris. A high spot of Victorian color printing.
