10,000 Dreams Interpreted: A Dictionary of Dreams10,000 Dreams Interpreted: A Dictionary of Dreams

Gustavus Hindman Miller’s groundbreaking masterwork, published nearly a century ago, remains the most compelling and thorough study of all the symbols that appear in our dreamscape. Updated, beautifully designed, and wonderfully easy to follow, it’s an invaluable source of information, and key to understanding the unconscious impulses that guide us. Miller offers an enlightening introduction to dreams in history, dream types (spiritual, mixed, and allegorical), and to prescient dreams that provide a privileged glimpse into the future.

When their space ship crash lands on the planet Eden, six men confront their disturbing new environment and its unfathomable life forms. From Aesop to Zwerger, this title holds a wealth of information about children's literature in an easily accessible, alphabetized format. Ancient Epic (Blackwell Introductions to the Classical World)Ancient Epic (Blackwell Introductions to the Classical World)

Written primarily for scholars and students, Ancient Epic is nonetheless  a thoroughly enjoyable and informative read for those who know little about the old human stories that undergird our Western literature and culture. The introduction provided a beautiful overview of how these six epics related to each other and how they can have high meaning for us today. King has a way of describing the people and events that makes them identifiable and memorable. I was surprised to find myself reading the book as I read a mystery--turning pages to find out what happened next. A good read!
