Grammar in Context allows you to see grammar in action through a wide range of real fiction and non-fiction text. Including autobiography, travel writing, information texts, newspaper articles, polemical writing, speeches, leaflets and diaries. Each section - focusing on a different aspect of grammar and language - looks at how writers have used language in order to reinforce meaning and strengthen the impact of what they write.
A grammar reference section gives all the nuts and bolts of English grammar for anyone who needs a quick refresher course while working through the book.
A Teachers' Grammar: The Central Problems of English
This book appeared in its first edition 30 years ago, from an academic rather than a language teaching publisher. It was a landmark of its time, and praise was lavished upon it by many, if not most, contemporary grammarians. This new, revised edition retains all the insight and clarity of the original text, but has been slightly up-dated in terms of content and re-designed to make the book easier to read.
Grammar (Resource Books for Teachers)Grammar, like death and taxes, is one of the few certainties in the life of a language teacher. It is the subject we love to hate. Many teachers feel uncomfortable with having to live with it, yet instinctively know they cannot live without it. For other teachers, grammar is the only secure point in the seeming chaos of communicative uncertainty, and they cling to it for safety. Whatever our feelings about grammar, it is clear that it is one (but only one) of the pillars which support a language. Without it, we are reduced to a kind of phrase-book pidgin. Yet the problem of just how to approach the teaching of grammar remains.

There are literally hundreds of episodes to choose from, providing listeners with hours and hours of content and hundreds of vocabulary terms. It's really impressive.
This ebook was created by me in 2004. I know it is short, yet I do believe that it is great for students and teachers as well. It includes sentences to be used in different situations as well as examples. Each subject was divided into "Formal, Informat and common." The introduction is in Arabic; however the rest of the book in English.
