Fluency Practice Mini-Books (Grade 3)

Help students build fluency with the repeated reading practice they need. These high-interest mini-books—in a variety of genres—are leveled to best suit the needs of third graders. MODEL FLUENT READING: Read aloud to students. As you read, model (and point out) aspects of fluent reading such as phrasing, pacing, and expression. Help students understand that people aren’t born knowing how to do this; they learn it by hearing it and trying it themselves.
