Speakout Starter ActiveBook & DVD

Speakout is a new general English course that helps adult learners gain confidence in all skill areas using authentic materials from the BBC. With its wide range of support material, it meets the diverse needs of learners in a variety of teaching situations and helps to bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world. Speakout has been developed in association with BBC Worldwide and BBC Learning English.

NOTE

This is the DVD-ROM that accompanies the Student's Book. It is an MDX image file which should be mounted using Daemon Tools to access it or burn it. The DVD software contains the Student's Book in electronic format as well as the class audio for each unit, so it can only be used with a computer. It is also playable in any DVD player to watch the documentaries. All the material for the video podcasts are also accessible through the software.

UPDATE:

The image file contains a copy protection lock which I was unaware of. I've done some research and the solution is within Daemon Tools.

1. Open Daemon Tools
2. Open Preferences
3. Click on Advanced and select SecuROM
4. Apply changes

You can now mount the image file again and Install or Run from disc as you would do with the original DVD. I'm afraid it won't work if you burn the DVD, it may still be playable in DVD players but won't run in a PC since Daemon Tools does the simulation.
