Communication with the dead, theories of infinite universes, The Royal Academy of Meteorology, and one Tzvi Gal-Chen are all part of the novel's ingeniously constructed plot. In spite of these wild ingredients, it's a calm, inward work, held together by the even-tempered and relentless intellection of the protagonist.
