We thought it would be useful to produce a booklet of tips to make your materials easier to read and understand, especially for adults with literacy difficulties. These people may find it hard to understand the information they need to exercise their rights and meet their obligations. It makes sense to present this information as clearly as possible to give everyone a fair opportunity to understand and act on what they read.
Human Computer Interaction is the study of relationships among people and computers. As the digital world is getting multi-modal, the information space is getting more and more complex. In order to navigate this information space and to capture and apply this information to appropriate use, an effective interaction between human and computer is required. Such interactions are only possible if computers can understand and respond to important modalities of human interaction.
The book discusses the war from 1861 to the end in 1865. It included the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. The text is written in plain English which makes it easy to understand and read through. It captivates the reader as it describes the battles and engagement of the war. The Illustrations are beautiful and informative. You can see troop positions though there aren't any actual regimental information. You have an unobstructed view of the battle which place troops in general areas. The pictures seem to give an insight on the the key players and events and does not hold back on what the war was really like.
Public information messages are an important means of state-citizen communication in today’s societies. Using this genre, citizens are directed to “never ever drink and drive”, to “slow down” and to “learn to say no”. Yet, this book presents the first in-depth analysis of public information messages from a linguistic perspective, and indeed also from a cross-cultural perspective. Specifically, the study, adopting genre analysis, contrasts a corpus of state-run national public information campaigns in Germany and Ireland.
