English for Starters Vocational Stream–Commercial is an English language course that has been specially written for commercial secondary schools in Syria. The course progresses from an intermediate level of English in Grade 10 to an advanced level of English in Grade 12. The books introduce students to the world of commerce; they assume no prior commercial knowledge on the part of students or teachers.
The course provides students with skills and knowledge related to commerce such as answering the telephone, dealing with correspondence, learning the names and uses of documents, computers and office equipment as well as aspects of economics such as insurance, accounting and banking.
Technical English is a four-level course for students in technical or vocational education, and for company employees in training at work. It covers the core language and skills that students need to communicate successfully in all technical and industrial specialisations. Level 4 is for Upper-Intermediate students and covers CEF levels B2 to C1. The Teacher's Book with Test Master CD-ROM provides full support for level 4. It also supports teachers with explanations of key technical concepts in the course. The Test Master CD-ROM contains a range of tests to support teachers.
IELTS Language Practice is a reference and practice book for students preparing for the IELTS examination. It provides clear grammar explanations and regular practice units to consolidate the grammar points in a wider context.
