This is a Davis' notes book! The 3rd edition continues to provide practical, clinically oriented content for the delivery of safe and effective health care in hospital and home settings. Its handy pocket size and waterproof pages are great for students and educators on the go, while NCLEX tips, highlighted throughout, make it perfect for those preparing for the licensure exam. Updated with the most recent content, the 3rd edition gives access to even more of the commonly-used by rarely memorized clinical information that nurses and students need.

Small TownSmall Town

For a start, it is very deliberately a post-9/11 thriller, in which a man bereaved by the loss of his wife and children in the Twin Towers sets out to wreak what he thinks of as a sacrificial vengeance on the city by becoming a serial terrorist himself. For another, Block, who wrote some pornography early in his career, has created a female character whose kinky sex antics will definitely ruffle some of his mainstream readers. Block's intimate knowledge of New York and its folkways--and of urban character and conversation--has always been one of his great strengths and is on plentiful show again here.

Economic Advice and Rhetoric: Why Do Consultants Perform Better Than Academic Advisers?Economic Advice and Rhetoric: Why Do Consultants Perform Better Than Academic Advisers?

This book compares the approaches of consultants and academic advisers and provides an in-depth analysis of their advice argumentation. Both compete on the market for economic advice, with consultants enjoying a larger market share and usually obtaining higher fees. However, academics criticize them for overcharging, shallowness, and quick-and-dirty methods. So, are consultants' clients misled or even cheated? Not necessarily. The book reveals that academics have drawbacks as well; their arguments are less balanced than those of consultants and their estimates contradict each other more.

In the Courts of the Sun - Brian D'AmatoIn the Courts of the Sun - Brian D'Amato

Wonderful research, plodding storyline!
I believe that your personal politics will play a big part in whether you like this book or not. Conservatives will probably not like it and liberals probably will. As a moderate, the authors unrelenting desire to inject politics into a sci-fi/time travel/adventure was simply annoying.
In the world according to Mr. D'Amato, the United States, Caucasians, Mormons, the C.I.A., Corporations, Haliburton (ok, he got that one right) Tom Clancy, Alicia Keys and National Geographic are all bad.
