Bernie Bridges and his friends have finally done it! Their really rotten behavior has made their teacher, Mrs. Heinie, quit. For the rest of the year, they will have a substitute teacher. Everyone in Bernie’s class thinks that this means it’s party time!

Dudes, the School is Haunted

Joe Sweety is the worst kind of bully -- big, mean, and always ready to use his fists. Chipmunk is the shiest, clumsiest kid at Rotten School. When Chipmunk is paired with Joe on the class trip, things get ugly -- and fast! Chipmunk spills his apple juice on Joe, he barfs on Joe, and he pulls down Joe's pants. All accidents, of course. But does Joe care? No way! He is out to get Chipmunk!

Belzer is a loser with a capital L. He does everything for Bernie Bridges—washes his dirty underwear, finishes his homework, even walks his smelly dog! Bernie has it good! But now Belzer’s parents are taking him out of Rotten School. Bernie has to make Belzer stay! (How else will he get his breakfast in bed every morning?) Bernie has only one choice—he has to help Belzer win the Heinie Prize for Most Outstanding Student. But can Bernie really make Belzer worthy of a Heinie?

It’s the school talent show, and this year Bernie Bridges wants to beat Nyce House. He wants a kid from his dorm, Rotten House, to win. The problem is, no one in Rotten House has any talent. At least that’s what Bernie thinks, until he walks past a closet and hears the most amazing guitar playing—it’s Chipmunk, the shyest kid in Rotten House. Bernie signs Chipmunk right up for the show…and then discovers that playing in front of an audience makes Chipmunk puke—a lot. His surefire winner can only perform in a closet.

Bernie’s in major trouble! Jennifer Ecch, the biggest, toughest girl in Rotten School, is in love with him. She’ll do anything to get him to be her boyfriend. That’s why she joins the totally rotten all-boys football team. And with Jennifer on the team, they can’t lose. But that’s definitely bad. ’Cause if they win, they’ll have to play against the National Champions—the killer Flesh-Eaters.
