The Grammar of a language is the system of that Language recorded form usage in actual speech. Rules laid down in the Grammar of a language are drawn from, made in accordance with, the accepted, correct usage. Therefore, if an accepted correct usage disagrees with the grammar rule, it is the rule that is to be ignored; and this fact leaves the problem to future grammarians.

This booklet is not a complete course of English grammar, composition and usage; it is far from being one. But it is the intention of the compiler to help the learners with the essentials of grammar, composition and usage in learning English as a second language.
The grammar rules in this compilation are made as simple as posssible so that the beginning learner of the English language can understand. It is hoped that this booklet will be of some use to those who are helping their children out with the English language in their own homes. However a self-teaching learner is advised to use this booklet in consultation with his/her teacher or friend who has had some knowledge of grammar and who can help him in understanding the rules and instructions contained therein.
