For those of you who may not know they are a team of FBI profilers, spending their time trying to get into the heads of seriously whacked criminals. Headed by Jason Gideon, the strongest character, the rest of the cast has grown on us in a very pleasant, comfortable way. Especially Garcia computer goddess and brassy broad of the first water. She is a hoot :) The rest of the cast is very nicely handled from genius/geek Dr. Reid to the buttoned down Aaron Hotchner.

This is a great book about preparing for short-term societal or environmental crises - how to conserve water when the water's not running (after a hurricane, say), how to stay warm and safe when the ice-storm of the century wipes out your natural gas and electricity, or an earthquake shakes your house down around your ears in the middle of the night. Technology, too, is given its due - renewable energy sources like solar and wind are discussed and the best water filters on the market.

The last training material from IIT Kharagpur, a course material about Water Resources engineering. This course material is addressed to a civil engineering student I suppose, but also so much applies to other disciplines, such as mechanical engineering and geological engineering.
