Death of a Doxy by Rex Stout
Death of a Doxy, considered a Stout classic, opens with the death of Isabel Kerr, found dead in her lavish bedroom. Was her boyfriend, her "sugar daddy," or someone else responsible? Nero Wolfe puts himself and his side-kick, Archie Goodwin, to work to unravel the mystery and the tangle of relationships as this vintage Wolfe detective story unfolds. Michael Prichard's reading enhances the twists and turns. Recommended.

The Identity Check - by Ken Merrell
When a crazy, seemingly harmless old woman pilfers private information, she sets in motion a chaotic, far-reaching chain of events. Before long, a treacherous game of identity theft unfolds that could change the country’s laws forever.
Eighty-five percent of what one remembers comes through the eyes,² says this detailed guide to improving one's memory for facts, names, numbers, and even jokes or speeches. The trick is to associate the information with a visual image that is highly personal, has a lot of color, and has highly exaggerated action. Michael Coon reads quickly, and this approach along with the technical nature of the advice makes the program sound hurried and mechanical. But it's not an irritating flaw, and as the program unfolds, what sticks is a substantial confidence that we can remember what we decide to--provided we create strong associative links.
