Jennifer is a very talented teacher. I really like watching her video lessons and her soft spoken female voice makes me totally understand English rather than listening to other tongue twisted native English speakers.
All clear 1, 2, 3 include dialogues set up the lesson theme and serve as springboards for learning the idioms and other expressions; listening skills are developed through pre-, while-, and post-listening activities related to each units introductory dialogue; "Your Turn" speaking activities encourage learners to use the newly acquired idioms and expressions interactively; numerous listening and speaking activities help build fluency through the integration of reading, writing, and grammar skills; special attention is given to the grammar related to expressions in order to help develop fluency and accuracy. Book and 2 Audio CDs. The Intermediate and high-inter levels.
Учебник, направленный на аудирование - восприятие английской речи на слух (американский английский). Второй уровень замечательного издания. Кроме собственно упражнений на аудирование, есть также 'follow-up' упражнения на говорение.
This book series provides good contextual listening situations. There is an emphasis on listening for jist and content which is good for Asian students to realize they don't have to understand every word. This book lacks pronounciaton exercises, but otherwise it is an outstanding high intrest listening text. This text is well suited for begining and low intermediate learners but may not be challanging enough for high students.
