League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - Volume 1, part 4 comic for advanced readers
Next part of theprevious volumes of the excellent American comic having its source in all classic science-fiction, mystery and fantasy novels. Very good imagery and interesting text, many archaisms, so I would recommend it for upper-intermediate and advanced readers. Suitable for high-school and adults.

Advanced English Dictionary is distinguished from the other (paper, electronic) dictionaries in many ways. Not because it contains far more words than a conventional paper dictionary, but because it uses a radically new approach and technology called WordNet. Instead of just listing the words and their definitions, Advanced English Dictionary shows how every word is linked to another. Type in the word "tree" and you will get not only the definition, synonyms and opposites, but the hypernyms (a tree is a kind of what?), meronyms (what are the parts of a tree?) and more. You can also find a list of hundreds of trees, from yellowwood to the Tree of Knowledge, and even all words that contain the letters t-r-e-e. This WordNet approach will help you to understand the meanings of words better. Linguists call WordNet project one of the biggest leaps for dictionaries since scholars sat down to write the epic Oxford English Dictionary.
Features in a nutshell:

Advanced Reading Power is unlike most other reading textbooks. First, the focus is different. This book directs students' attention to their own reading processes, while most other books focus primarily on the content. Second, Advanced Reading Power is organized in a different way. It contains four separate sections that correspond to four important aspects of proficient reading, and therefore it is like four books in one. Teachers should assign work
on all four parts of the book concurrently. The four parts of Advanced Reading Power are:
• Part 1: Extensive Reading
• Part 2: Vocabulary Building
• Part 3: Comprehension Skills
• Part 4: Reading Faster
