Bernie Bridges’ wants to be named “Most Popular Rotten Egg” in the yearbook-but first he has to prove just how popular he is. Bernie has a brilliant plan-he’ll tell everyone that it’s his birthday. He is going to throw himself the biggest birthday party in the history of Rotten School just to show how popular he is!

In one week, the Board of Inspectors is coming to Rotten School, and if everything isn’t up to their standards, the school will be shut down. But Bernie Bridges is too busy scheming to worry about that. When he sees Sherman Oaks, his archenemy, charging everyone to play his video game, Bernie comes up with a brilliant plan to make money. He’ll organize a game where everyone acts out the characters from the video in real life. The game wil be played for a fee, of course. But chaos breaks loose--just in time for the inspectors’ big visit!
Bernie has it all figured out. April-May June will ask him to the annual girl-invite-boy school dance. They’ll dance the night away, and April-May June will totally fall for him. There’s only one problem: Reality. April-May June doesn’t know she is destined to go with him and Jennifer Ecch swoops in and asks Bernie first. Yuck! How can Bernie shake the unshakable Ecch?
