The Marx Sisters

Detective Kathy Kolla's first case is one for the books. Meredith Winterbottom, a resident of Jerusalem Lane--a quaint section of London inhabited by Eastern European immigrants--and a great-granddaughter of Karl Marx, is found dead. Was she the victim of greedy real-estate developers, or was she killed for the politics of another age?

The debut of a brand-new mystery series from the New York Times bestselling author of the Ranger's Apprentice novels.

The seaside town of Fethering is home to Carole Seddon and Jude-"a pair of sleuths who are winning enough to make the reader invite them back for more" (Toronto Star)-and a place rife with foul play, as evidenced in the sixth mystery in the series.  Carole's son is getting married to a wonderful girl-with rather odd parents. Not only do they have no interest in meddling with wedding preparations, but the mere thought of publicizing the affair frightens them beyond words.

Noth leaves no stone unturned, combining historical analysis of its roots in structuralism from its Pierce, Morris, Saussure, Hjelmslev and Jakobson beginnings through Barthes, structuralism, Post and Neo structuralism to present day applications such as in drama, myth, ideology, rhetoric, nonverbal and visual communication(aesthetics, advertizing or comics for example). Very thorough, and useful I found for quick-to-reference definitions of terms, and placing the mass of scholarship within the field and correlating fields depending on its applications.

In a seaside town of sandy beaches and ocean breezes, Sapphy has never felt so far from the sea. The crowded shore at St. Pirans is nothing like the cove at Sapphy's old home, where she first found her way into the underwater world of Ingo.
