Take Charge Of Your LifeTake Charge Of Your Life

“When talking about personal success, I like to ask four questions. Why? Why not? Why not you? Why not now?” Why not acquire the means to travel first class through life, to see the Mona Lisa first hand, to swim the crystal waters of the Bahamas, to sample the food in Paris or Africa? Why not do it all? There’s really nothing like a view from the top.

The First HorsemanThe First Horseman

The strength of the novel is the eerie suspense that Case sustains by revealing only enough about the Korean plot and the Temple of Light cult to keep the reader fully engaged and wanting more. While Case doesn't spend much time delving into the lives and motivations of his characters, the Spanish flu is the real star. Case propels the novel with the constant reminder that a new plague is on the verge of exploding, and his several enigmatic subplots keep you turning the pages and praying that this is only fiction.

Annie Bryant - Bad News, Good News

With a wink and a blink four between-aged-girls, or is that five, are at it again in this second book from the "Beacon Street Girls" series. Leonardo The First ScientistLeonardo The First Scientist

Michael White, an experienced biographer, has written this brilliant portrayal of his childhood hero – Leonardo da Vinci – arguing that the scope of his investigations, experimental method, and desire to push the boundaries of knowledge made him nothing less than “The First Scientist.”

With this he weaves the history of early scientific endeavour, and Leonardo’s colourful personal life, including his deprived childhood, homosexuality, and relationships with contemporaries such as Machiavelli and Borgia. A thought provoking book displaying the ultimate amalgamation between art and science.
