Key Skills for Reading - Vocabulary Development
Description
Student reading efforts are supported with activities that build word recognition and word analysis skills.
Students will read with greater confidence as they engage in multi-level activities that are trackable and assessable. Skillbuilding activities include:
•Classify words by purpose and part of speech •Build knowledge of essential words •Recognize usage differences in homophones •Construct compound words •Build words using prefixes and suffixes
