In this volume we present work by the major contemporary contributors to the help-seeking literature. Authors were free to determine chapter content, including whether to present theoretical or empirical work. They were, however, asked to include implications for learning and teaching, which are stated throughout their work or in separate sections. The book is not explicitly divided into sections but is grouped by topic.
This book offers both a conceptual framework and practical guidance for arranging the learning environment. It will give classroom teachers and future teachers in elementary and early childhood settings a better understanding of the effects of the teacher-arranged environment in which they spend their days with children. Through its text and illustrations, it presents practical information and procedures for making the learning environment supportive.
This resource reviews the key elements of lifelong learning (Chapter 2), describes its evolution (Chapter 3), describes the electronic and global dimensions (Chapters 4 and 5) and provides the busy executive with all they need to know about lifelong learning and how to make it work for themselves and their organization.
In the second half of the third millennium BC the Indo-European tribe known as the Hittites migrated and settled in Central Anatolia, at that time a land of small city-states whose rulers lived in fortresses.
These fortifications enabled the Hittites to transform themselves into a Bronze Age super-power, defeating the Egyptians at Kadesh in c.1274 BC.
Konstantin Nossov examines the fortifications constructed by the Hittites in their efforts to sustain and then halt the decline of their once flourishing empire.
