Parts of Speech through Pictures
241

Parts of Speech through PicturesThis is a collection of 6 pdf files. 4 of them are about Prepositions and 1 is for Nouns and 1 is for Verbs. All of them are like a picture dictionary for teaching and learning those parts of speech through pictures. So I named them "Parts of Speech through Pictures". They are available in the net ( in most of the cases the source is mentioned) and I choose them for sharing as I believe in the power of visualisation in Learning and Teaching. Think you will agree too.

Speaking: From Intention to ArticulationIn Speaking, Willem "Pim" Levelt, Director of the Max-Planck-Institut fьr Psycholinguistik, accomplishes the formidable task of covering the entire process of speech production, from constraints on conversational appropriateness to articulation and self-monitoring of speech. Speaking is unique in its balanced coverage of all major aspects of the production of speech, in the completeness of its treatment of the entire speech process, and in its strategy of exemplifying rather than formalizing theoretical issues.

The Development of Speech Perception:The Transition from Speech Sounds to Spoken WordsThis comprehensive collection of current research in the development of speech perception and perceptual learning documents the striking changes that take place both in early childhood and throughout life and speculates about the mechanisms responsible for those changes. The findings reported from this rich and active field address the role of growing linguistic knowledge and experience and demonstrate that speech perception develops in a bidirectional interplay with several levels of linguistic structure and cognitive processes.
