The Victory Garden is the first ten page comic book story starring Donald Duck that was done by Carl Barks. In this story Donald tries to grow a victory garden but three crows keep eating his seeds. This story was first printed in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #31. This story was reprinted in The Carl Barks Library of Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #1, Donald Duck #286 and Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #643. Carl Barks originally received the idea from someone else but he changed the script and made it his own.

Donald Duck - The Trail of the Unicorn - Carl barks - Disney Donald Fauntleroy Duck is an American cartoon character from The Walt Disney Company. Donald is a white anthropomorphic duck with a yellow-orange bill, legs, and feet. He usually wears a sailor shirt, cap, and a red bow tie, but no trousers (except when he goes swimming). Donald's most famous personality trait is his easily provoked and explosive temper.
Donald Keyhoe was there first. He didn't invent the UFO phenomenon, but he became its first authoritative private spokesman. In 1949, TRUE magazine asked aviation writer and retired Marine Corps Major Donald Keyhoe to look into the flying saucer enigma, which had burst onto the scene just two years previously. With information from his friends in the military, Keyhoe concluded that the objects came from outer space and that the Air Force was covering up the story to prevent panic.
