The Chumash, an American Indian people, protest when a property developer builds new homes in their ancient cemetery in Coyote Canyon, California. Then, during the night of the 4th July celebrations, a murder is committed by a mysterious American Indian warrior. Suspicion falls on Chumash, but when Michelle, Bill, Nick and Pam investigate they find that the truth is much more complicated..
