THE WAY IT IS has been prepared with the beginning student of EFL in mind. The "diary" type readings used in many of the chapters are designed to help the student better identify with the people or events depicted. The illustrations are general in scope and are more representational than specific but they might be used as a point of reference to develop vocabulary, as an expansion upon the reading, or as the basis for a simple oral or written composition. THE WAY IT IS has been prepared at the beginning level by maintaining the 750-word level.
