Brain Tease

Displayed above you see nine cells with colored text on the left. The challenge is to click on the "Start Normal" button and read aloud what you see as fast as you can and then click again on the same button (now labelled "Stop"). The elapsed time will be displayed. Repeat several times to get your shortest time. Each word matches the color of the word. Now, click on the "Start Scrambled" button, read aloud what you see as fast as you can and then click on the same button. The color of the word may or may not match the name of the color and it is much harder to read quickly. Repeat several times to get your shortest time. Normally, the shortest scrambled test time will be longer than the shortest normal test time. With practice, your time can be improved.

On the right you initially see nine empty cells. When you click on the "Start Memory Test" button, you will see the numbers 1 - 9 in the cells in a scrambled fashion for one second. The challenge is to click on the cells in the correct order from one to nine. As you click on a cell, you will see the number of that guess. If you change your mind, you can click on the last cell (one through eight only) clicked to remove that number. After all nine cells have been clicked, the number of correct cells is shown. The "Show Answer" button will allow you to see the correct answer for as long as you wish. Click again on this button to see your answer and again to empty the cells. Practice with this test to improve your short-term memory skills and increase your concentration and focus skills.
