Target Score - New Toeic 2nd ed. 2007

 This "New Toeic" book (SB) is organized by themes (retailing, industry, leisure, money, environment, health). Each theme is included in a unit which reviews all the skills (listening,reading, grammar, vocabulary) and strategies that students need to master for great scores. There are 12 units, 4 review tests, and one full-length test. There is enough material to even prep the Toeic Speaking Test and the Toeic Writing Test, two independent tests that are sometime required by employers.The book, however, is not really designed for teaching speaking or writing.

The book is colorful, user-friendly, comprehensive with a grammar reference section, a wordlist, a communication file, transcripts and keys. There are 3 CDs: 2 for the SB and CD3 for the final test that comes in a separate booklet.

The Teacher's book that goes with the SB gives ample details about how to teach the course, and is an invaluable tool for less experienced teachers. It is detailed down to the time needed to teach part of any lesson, to grammar and vocab focus points, to which strategies to use, to suggestions for speaking and writing, etc...so lesson plans are almost entirely done for you.

I have tried the coursebook on my students and I just love it. The students respond well to it.
