Babylon Roots & Affixes Dictionary

119

Hi friends,
After a longtime of collecting, arranging and editing I've just accomplished the first edition of Babylon Roots & Affixes Dictionary which is regarded as one of the best ways to remember new words.

Have you ever wondered why "company" means "1.a large group of soldiers" or "2 (business) an organization which sells goods or services in order to make money"?
I bet that if you knew the reason you would never forget it.
Can you make a guess? Clue: "com" means "together"; "pan" means "bread" (with which you often have for breakfast) ^_^ Now I'm sure you know the answer ^_^ Generally, company refers to a group of people who live "together" and share the same loaf of "bread". :)) hahaha!!!! so funny? *_^

This dictionary can help you understand the nature and origin of words as well as the culture embeded in English language ^_^

You must have babylon dictionary software installed in your computer to use this dictionary.

After being installed in your Babylon dictionary software, press F10 and type 000 to reach the table of content (Index).

Here is the new version (2.0) ^^

If you have any comments or suggestions, please give me a feedback.
Hope you enjoy it ^_^

Best wishes
