These vocabulary practice tests are only for the students who are going to appear in the ACT exam. Many ACT students have found these exercises very helpful. Hopefully, you will find these exercises helpful too. You may be happy to find that you know most or all of them. Or, you may also find that you need to improve a lot.

As an ESL teacher, this activity book contains lots of great supplemental material for my false beginner and intermediate level classes. I especially like the way the author is able to recycle a lot of the fixed phrases and phrasal verbs that are so common in everyday speech. The puzzles are actually structured in a way that allows students not only to review vocabulary, but also help them become better language learners.
