Cosmopolitan magazine is an international womens magazine and is well-known for its provocative point of view of relationships and sex; the magazine is therefore recommended for a mature audience. Fashion and beauty, health and fitness, career and home and general interest stories are also present in every issue. Cosmopolitan was first published in 1886 as a family magazine, then became a literary magazine and was transformed into a womens magazine in 1965 by now-legendary editor Helen Gurley Brown.
