Drama and Improvisation (Resource Books for Teachers)Drama and Improvisation (Resource Books for Teachers)

Why was this book written?
Drama and Improvisation is a series of activities designed to enliven your English classes and activate your students’ imagination and creativity. I devised and collected them over many years working as a language trainer and actor/director with the English Teaching Theatre (ETT). Many of them emerged from improvisation activities with students in class or with teachers at workshops and on courses all over the world. Some of them were inspired by working with ETT actors and some are adaptations of material used by a London-based group of improvisation actors and comedians called the Comedy
Store Players.

Why Good People Do Bad Things: Understanding Our Darker SelvesWhy Good People Do Bad Things: Understanding Our Darker Selves

Working with the Shadow is not working with evil, per se. It is working toward the possibility of greater wholeness. We will never experience healing until we can come to love our unlovable places, for they, too, ask love of us.
How is it that good people do bad things? Why is our personal story and our societal history so bloody, so repetitive, so injurious to self and others?
