What Rich People Know & Desperately Want to Keep Secret
The cat is out of the bag! The "average" millionaire is not so different than the average anyone else
. Thomas Stanley and William Danko told us so in The Millionaire Next Door (1996), and since then there have been a host of spin-offs and imitators telling us essentially the same thing. Most of the wealthy live simply, invest carefully, and buy sensibly. One significant distinction is that most millionaires are also successful in starting their own businesses and sticking with them. It seems that this is the case in Australia, too. Sher himself made his money by starting a publishing enterprise that specializes in putting out summaries of management books for businesspersons who do not have much time to read. Although American authors have focused on the simple lifestyles and investing habits of the well-to-do, Sher emphasizes their entrepreneurial skills. His guide is as much of a small-business manual as it is a how-to-get-rich one. Emphasizing the advantages of being one's own boss, Sher covers motivation, marketing, managing people, interpersonal skills, and business systems and procedures.

Marriage Family, and Relationships: A Cross-Cultural Encyclopedia (Encyclopedias of the Human Experience)

Marriage Family, and Relationships: A Cross-Cultural Encyclopedia (Encyclopedias of the Human Experience)Broude (psychology, Vassar) has produced a work that is more anthropological than psychological in nature, placing its emphasis on societal and tribal customs rather than on individuals' motivations. Broude uses the concept of sociobiology to explain why so many cultures have similarities in ideals-if not in the way these ideals are carried out. For example, in almost all cultures people will help their own kin before helping strangers, which Broude explains as an instinctive attempt by a person to make sure their genes (some of which are shared by their kin) survive. Similarly, Broude repeatedly explains the differences in male-female sex roles from an evolutionary perspective. Whether or not one agrees that biology is destiny, Broude makes a convincing case in several articles that this is a possible motivation for behaviors that occur across cultures.

Irish Nouns: A Reference Guide
13

Irish Nouns: A Reference Guide This book presents the first comprehensive reference on noun declensions in Modern Irish. Whereas traditional descriptions of noun inflection are notoriously complex and filled with exceptions and irregularities, this reference guide provides a systematic and straightforward characterization of nominal paradigms, which also captures important generalizations about the inflection of nouns. Andrew Carnie proposes ten declension classes instead of the traditional five and separates off seven major types of plural formation. He provides fully inflected paradigms for 1200 nouns, and a reference list of 10,000 Irish nouns annotated with their new declension class, their plural type and the form of the genitive singular and common case (nominative) plural.
