An Outline Of American State LiteratureAn Outline Of American State Literature
by Elsie Dershem
(Rare Book Collection)

This volume is the first book to treat of the literature of the different states. Nearly all of the states have authors who have written books about their state literature and as the wealth of the material and the number of authors in the state increase, so will the interest in local and state literature tend to increase. No author has been given a residence in a state unless he has been placed there by some state authority. The overlappage of states has been a difficult question. A representative work of each author has been named, insofar as it has been possible.
