IELTS Target 5.0 is aimed at students who want to take the IELTS exam while studying at a pre-intermediate level. The aim is to prepare you for the General Training exam rather than the Academic exam, though some additional Academic exam practice is provided at the end of the course. Scoring 5.0 in General Training exam is more realistic than doing so in the Academic exam. The length nd academic content of the reading passages in the Academic exam, together with the more challenging writing tasks, makes the Academic course far more demanding.

The test consists of the usual 4 sub-tests (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking), there is a Listening recording and its transcript has the answers underlined in sentences. Anyone who has trouble following the recording can use the transcript to understand parts they missed, and also to see the exact location of every question’s answer.
