Dictionary of E-Business Francis Botto's Dictionary of E-Business is subtitled "a definitive guide to technology and business terms" a subtitle this accelerated world is, in reality, always going to make a mockery of: whatever is defined can be redefined and nothing degrades meaning more quickly than technology. That withstanding, Botto's dictionary is well presented, clear and timely and it makes a pretty good stab at living up to the promise on its cover. Definitions range from AAA server to Zoom options and include symbol definitions and good, pithy descriptions of key computer languages and their functions.
Soule's Dictionary of English Synonyms for Babylon
The New York Times wrote, Soule's dictionary "is arranged like an ordinary dictionary, and not only acts as a dictionary of synonyms, but is serviceable as a dictionary of definitions. These definitions, given not in sentences, but by means of lists of words, each having an allied significance, thus serve a double purpose. For all ordinary uses the book might well be employed as a dictionary of definitions." Based on the edition published by J. B. Lippincott Company in 1915; significantly revised, updated, and adapted for the electronic use in 2009.
