Understanding Middle School Math: Cool Problems to Get Students Thinking and Connecting
A book of cool problems for middle school mathematics classrooms-does it get any better? Yes, it does. Art Hyde and his colleagues go far beyond providing a collection of problems. This text looks at how computers are being used in primary classrooms and how they could be used better. Its three sections focus upon: how do we investigate learning through talk around computers? What affects the quality of group work around computers? What can teachers do to improve this?

The New Headway Elementary Teacher's Book, Fourth edition has a new look with the addition of colour to highlight ideas for extra classroom activities and to aid navigation. Each unit starts with a clear overview of the unit content from the Student's Book, along with a brief introduction to the main themes of the unit and a summary of additional materials that can be used. Within each unit, the blue sections indicate opportunities for additional activities with Suggestions and Extra activities
The materials in this text were compiled over a period of ten years, in Thailand from 1993 to 2003, while I was teaching at The Faculty of Arts at Chulalongkorn University and later at the Department of Language at KMUTT. I started a file of speaking activities because there were too many tasks and ideas to keep in my head, and I wanted to be able to access them when I needed them in the future. Eventually, the file grew thicker and thicker, until it was big enough to become a book.
