The rationale underlying the series Storyline goes beyond the teaching of English alone. It aims at educating children , that is, preparing them for the rapidly changing and increasingly complex society they will have to live in, by helping them develop independent, critical thinking and ethical behaviours in order to become caring and productive 21st century citizens.
