This lesson will be focusing on some confusing English words - HOMONYMS - words that sound the same but are spelled differently and have different meanings.

 

Words like this:

raw & roar

bare & bear

there & their & they're

flour & flower

assistants & assistance

which & witch

 

They are especially important when you are writing in English. When you are speaking, it doesn’t really matter, does it? Because they sound exactly the same!! But as soon as you write it down… that’s where you’ll run into trouble! Especially, if you’re sitting an exam, writing an essay or an important email!
