Charles Dickens - Oliver Twist (part 1/3 – Chapters 1 to 15)

Experience the adventures of Oliver Twist, a little orphan with heavy fate, yet big heart, who will certainly become an inspiration both for children and for grown-ups for years to come. Like many of his later novels, Charles Dickens dedicated “Oliver Twist” to the theme of hardship faced by the dispossessed and those of the underworld.

The boy named Oliver Twist was born in a workhouse and never heard a kind word said to him by anybody during his early years. Everybody around him treated him so badly that he could no longer bear it and, thus, decided to escape from the workhouse and run away to London. And that is when the real adventures began as Oliver reluctantly joined the gang of thieves and became on object of interest of an old gentleman.

The brilliant style of the language, bright personages, heart-piercing episodes and a happy ending are undoubtedly revealing the genius and power of Charles Dickens.
