Litera vol. 12

LITERA, Journal of Western Languages and Literatures, is a peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the Faculty of Letters of Istanbul University. It was founded in 1954 as an annual and multilingual publication of the Department of Western Languages and Literatures at Istanbul University. After a long interval LITERA appeared as a refereed journal in 2004 with the publication of its 16th issue. As a biannual journal, LITERA features academic articles in English and Turkish in the fields of literature, arts and culture in general. Multidisciplinary approaches that focus on or include discussions of non-Western literatures and cultures are also encouraged. The objective of LITERA is to publish theoretical and/or critical articles that will provide an intellectual platform for literary and cultural studies.
