The papers collected in the current volume are intended to add to the growing body of scholarship in the field of Translation Studies and to increase scholarly awareness of translation — in short, to make translation more “visible.” The variety of critical approaches represented here testifies to the current diversity of the field, from feminist translation practices to issues surrounding nationalism, postcoloniality,and globalization, to accounts of of personal translational and editorial practices, to analyses of the marketing of translations in the United States.
