Each Language Skills book has over 150 warm-ups that cover parts of speech, sentence structure, vocabulary, and mechanics and usage. The books for Grades 5 and 6 also cover using reference materials. Each warm-up provides a brief overview of a particular skill, an example of using the skill correctly, an activity for the skill, and a follow-up writing activity for applying the skill.
