A coursebook for the students of junior high schools - aged 14. Level A2. Exercises are in English. Instructions to exercises are bilingual Polish-English. Grammar explanatory notes are in Polish. The book contains twenty theme modules, revision and extension sections, grammar reference chapter, and irregular verbs list.
Over the years, cars have helped to define the experiences and self-perceptions of women in complex and sometimes unexpected ways. When women take the wheel, family structure and public space are reconfigured and re-gendered, creating a context for a literary tradition in which the car has served as a substitute for, an escape from, and an extension of the home, as well as a surrogate mother, a financial safeguard, and a means of self-expression.
Picture Books Plus focuses on five curricula—art, drama, music, math, and science, because we feel these areas will appeal most to public and school librarians, to teachers and early childhood educators, and, of course, to children, with their natural curiosity and energy. Each chapter includes twenty picture book titles along with a short annotation of the book, an extension in at least one of the five subject areas, any materials needed, and the procedure to conduct the extension. Every activity in this book was tested (some several times).
